Norwegian Appeal Board for Health Personnel

The Norwegian Appeal Board for Helath Personnel is an independent appeal board that deals with appeals from health personnel against decisions to reject applications for authorisation and licences made by the Norwegian Registration Authority for Health Personnel, decisions regarding administrative sanctions made by the Norwegian Board of Health Supervision and decisions regarding specialist approval made by the Norwegian Medical Association, the Norwegian Optometric Association and the Norwegian Dental Association.

The Norwegian Appeal Board for Health Personnel is an independent body of highly qualified health and legal experts, comprising three lawyers, three health professionals and a representative of the medical profession.

The Norwegain Appeal Board for Health Personnel is also the appeal body for certain decisions made by the Norwegian Medicines Agency pursuant to the Pharmacies Act. In cases governed by the Pharmacies Act, the board refers to itself as the Norwegian Pharmacy Appeals Board
